Application Requirements
Supernumeraries (the extras of the
ballet world) are cast in walk-on, non-dancing roles. Theatre and/or dance
experience are not required.
You must be available for all rehearsals and performance based on the schedule
below.
Please note: Arrival time is subject to
change. Rehearsals may be changed or canceled. Please make sure to confirm the
schedule.
・22 MEN
Height: 5’7” - 6’1” (172cm - 187cm)
As GUARDS, TOWNSMEN, MONKS and others
・11 WOMEN
Height: 4’9” – 5’4” (152cm - 165cm)
As TOWNSWOMEN and BALL WOMEN
・2 BOYS
Height: 4’1” – 4’7” (126cm - 144cm)

Thursday 1 July
18:00 – 21:30 Audition, Costume fitting / Rehearsal
Friday 2 July
15:30 Arrival time / Full costume, hair & make-up
17:00 - 17:45 Rehearsal
18:00 - 21:30 Dress Rehearsal
Saturday 3 July
12:30 Arrival time / Full costume, hair & make-up
14:00 - 17:00 Performance of Romeo and Juliet
Meeting Place:
The stage door of KOBELCO Grand Hall in Hyogo Performing Arts Center
Compensation
JPY10,000 for 3 days of participation (excluding withholding
tax)
Please note:
・You will be responsible for your own transportation, accommodation and
food.
・You will receive compensation after the performance.
・If you do not pass the audition, you cannot receive
compensation.

Closing date for applications is Friday 18 June.
We
will notify applicants of the meeting place by fax or email by Wednesday 23
June. (If we receive the large number of applications, only applicants selected
for an audition will be contacted.)
Please note:
Once we receive
your application form, we will register you for the audition. Please make sure
to let us know in advance if you wish to cancel your registration or are unable
to attend the audition.
